Precious Plastic, Muscat
Most PopularDiscover Oman’s first educational plastic recycling experience and learn how waste can be transformed into something valuable. As part of the global Precious Plastic movement, this experience brings together people, machines and knowledge to turn everyday plastic waste into new products.
This 1-hour, interactive eco activity raises awareness of plastic pollution in our ocean while inspiring positive environmental action. It is perfect for families, schools and groups, and is a fun and meaningful way to learn about sustainability, recycling, and the circular economy in Oman.
Sessions can be delivered in English or Arabic for groups of 10–15 participants (depending on age and accessibility needs).
What We Do:
- Collect: Encourage the community to bring clean, dry PET (#1) bottles (500ml+) and HDPE (#2) caps.
- Sort: Learn to identify the 7 types of plastic and why separation matters.
- Recycle: Transform 2 types of plastic only (PET & HDPE) into new products using small-scale recycling machines.
