RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course

This comprehensive 2 day course equips you in powerboat handling, basic navigation and safety. Designed for beginners and those with some experience, who want to be able to drive a powerboat safely and with confidence. Covering the pros and cons of different hull shapes and engine types, all key driving skills from starting, slow and fast maneuvering, man over-board recovery and much more, it is a great course to do before buying your first boat. As an internationally recognised qualification it is also perfect for those wishing to hire a boat or get into the marine industry. By the end of the course you will be a self-sufficient powerboater in the calm conditions, aware of your own limitations and those of the craft.

This is a predominantly practical course focusing on building your skills and knowledge. Depending on the time of year and weather conditions, the theory elements may be covered while out on the water, or in the classroom in the AC.
